Replacement Banknotes

 

To be prepared in case of failure of the bank note printing and possibly to make an exchange of banknote printing errors
or damaged banknotes, it was decided to substitute the purchase of replacement bank notes.

For us collector is important, first of all, following:

1.)  Replacement banknotes are rarer than normal circulation banknotes.
2.)  They are a little bit more expensive than normal banknotes.
3.)  There are not replacement banknotes from every signature variation.
4.)  Replacement banknotes are given later.
5.)  They have the same pick number, however, with " R " behind it. (Replacement)
6.)  From some commemorative marks there are also substitute marks.

 

In regulated form Thai replacement banknotes exist only from the 11 series and upwards, also from the moment,
when the banknotes were printed in Thailand.

From the series 11 the replacement banknotes have a "S"
in connection with a number before the series number.
